Texas LB Adds Missouri To List of Offers

Houston area Linebacker adds an offer from Missouri to his growing list

Clear Springs HS, League City,TX LB Donnie Baggs , 6'2"205lbs 4.55 forty, is the latest Texas prospect to claim an offer from the Missouri Tigers.

I spoke with Baggs, who recorded 91 tackles with 4 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, and one recovery for a touchdown, and he confirmed his offer and interest in Missouri.

"My coach told me that I received and offer from Missouri in the mail yesterday." said Baggs. "I'm very excited and think it's a blessing and a great opportunity to have an offer from a great program like Missouri in the Big 12."

Donnie has followed Missouri some and likes what he knows about the Tigers.

" Being a Big 12 school I am familiar with them. I saw their bowl game against Navy and although that wasn't a great game for them, I have seen enough of them to know that I like how they play and how the coaches and players seem to do things. They are a very good program and I am very interested."

Besides the Missouri offer, Baggs also has received offers from Arizona,Baylor and Houston. He mentioned Missouri as being "up there" among his top schools of interest at the moment.

" I would say Baylor and Missouri are high on my list of schools right now. Both are up there along with my other offers and then schools such as TCU,Alabama and Nebraska who are recruiting me as well."

Baggs, who attended the US Army combine and called it "a great experience", will be attending Oklahoma's junior day on March 7th. He also said that he would be trying to make some unofficial visits this summer and would likely try and make a decision by the end of his senior year.

" I am looking for a school that can provide a great education of course. I want to major in Political Science and Law. Plus, I want a school that is diverse and has a great campus." said Baggs. "My parents would like me to try and stay in Texas, but I would really like to go away and out of state to go to college."

He is part of his HS track teams 4x100 and 4x200 sprint squads and self reports and vertical jump of 35 inches.
