Mizzou Tigers earn No. 3 seed in tourney

The Big 12 Baseball Championship will begin on Wednesday in Oklahoma City. Mizzou will be the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will face No. 6 seed Texas A&M at 4 p.m. on Wednesday in day one of pool play. The Tigers will then take on No. 7 Texas Tech on Friday at 3 p.m. and face second-seeded Oklahoma at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Go inside for the entire bracket of the tournament.

The winners of the two pools will face off in the Championship game at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The other pool consists of No. 1 Texas, No. 4 Kansas State, No. 5 Kansas and No. 8 Baylor.

Past postseason championship winners include Kansas (2006), Nebraska (1999-2001, ‘05), Oklahoma (1997), Oklahoma State (2004), Texas (2002, ‘03, ‘08), Texas A&M (2007) and Texas Tech (1998).

Live pre-game, game and post-game action from the 2009 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship will be video streamed for free on the Big 12 Conference’s official Web site Big12Sports.com. Audio from the webcast will also be broadcast on Sirius XM Radio (Sirius 214(Best of XM)/XM 231), a Big 12 corporate partner.

Single-session tickets for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 18. Prices range from $13-44, while all-session tickets are available from $92-232.
