Former LSU recruiting coordinator Josh Henson knows the state of Louisiana as good as almost any coach in the country. That's becoming more apparent every day.

Henson now the assistant offensive line coach at Missouri is in charge of recruiting the Bayou state for his new Tiger team, resulting in one of Louisiana's top athletes receiving an official offer from Mizzou today.

Shreveport Huntington athlete Jarett Fobbs confirmed with InsideMizzou.com Thursday that he received his fourth offer today from the University of Missouri.

"I just got an offer from them today," Fobbs said. "I'm very excited about the offer. I know they have a great program. I saw them play down here about three years ago and I now they have had back to back 10 win seasons. They are one of the most successful schools that have offered me so far, Missouri and Ole Miss."

Fobbs plays wide receiver and running back for his high school team but explained he is being recruited by most schools as an athlete.

"I know Jeremy Maclin had a great career at Missouri," Fobbs said. "I think I can be that type of playmaker for them."

Fobbs, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete, who runs a 4.45 forty, had over 600 yards as a junior.

"Missouri is recruiting the state of Louisiana a lot more than they use to," Fobbs said. "I know they got another wide receiver out of Shreveport last year. I want to learn more about the Missouri football program and hopefully I can take a visit there in the near future."

Fobbs currently has offers from Missouri, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Miss.State
