Williams excited about Mizzou offer

Looking out for your best friend is just human nature. For Lake Dallas Texas offensive lineman Daryl Williams it's his duty as the starting offensive tackle for his high school team to protect his best friend and quarterback James Franklin. Both would like to continue their college career on the same football team, one team, the University of Missouri has offered both.

For Lake Dallas Texas offensive lineman Daryl Williams it's his duty as the starting offensive tackle for his high school team to protect his best friend and quarterback James Franklin.

Both players have been very up front about wanting to continue to play on the same team at the next level; the University of Missouri may have made this possibility a reality.

According to Franklin and Williams both will take an unofficial visit to Columbia together to watch a spring practice at Mizzou.

"We are both excited about the upcoming trip," Williams told InsideMizzou.com recently. "We have talked for a while playing on the same college team, we both just received offers from Missouri, so it's a possibility."

Williams, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound athlete, is looking forward to playing his senior season, in hopes of going further in the state playoffs his senior season.

"We will be better this fall," Williams said. "We should have a great senior season."

Williams currently holds official offers from Missouri, Baylor, Texas Tech and TCU.

"We can't wait to visit Missouri," Williams said. "We are going during our spring break; I'm looking forward to getting to know their coaching staff and to check everything out."
