One of Texas top running backs has the reputation of being elusive on the football field.
Apparently Rockwall Heath's standout runner Kendial Lawrence can be as elusive when it comes to recruiting as well as the gridiron. A young man of very few words, Lawrence recently took an official visit to Missouri.
"It was a great visit," Lawrence said. "I liked everything about Missouri."
There has been several internet rumors that Lawrence was close to making a decision, Lawrence denies the claim.
"I plan on taking a couple of more visits at least before deciding," Lawrence told InsideMizzou.com Saturday evening. "I have scheduled visits to Houston, Wyoming, SMU and Kansas. I'm not sure I will take all of those before deciding."
While several recruiting experts feel that Missouri may lead for Lawrence's services, the speedy runner is hesitant to name a favorite.
"I really don't have a favorite right now," Lawrence said. "Out of all the schools I have seen so far I really like Missouri a lot, but I don't really have a favorite."
Lawrence has two connections to two of the schools remaining on his visit list. His former head coach Tam Hollingshead is the new High School Relations Director at SMU while Tam's son Drew and Lawrence's current teammate and quarterback has committed to the University of Houston.
Lawrence had a standout senior season, finishing with over 2,100 yards rushing, even though he missed his team's last playoff game with an injury.
