Gary Pinkel took his career record vs. KU to 2-0, and Missouri evened the career record vs. the Jayhawks (51-51-9) on Saturday in Columbia.
The Tigers broke out of an early game funk to dominate the out-manned Jayhawks for the entire second half.
Mizzou scored 20 of it's 36 points in the Third Quarter on a powerful T.J. Leon touchdown run, an electric 75-yard touchdown run by Brad Smith, and a beautiful 15-yard strike from Smith to Darius Outlaw.
Along with becoming the all-time leader in receptions in the Big 12 Conference (he has 176 career receptions, two more than the previous record held by Kwame Cavil of Texas), Justin Gage also set the Missouri career receiving TD mark of 14. The great Mel Gray held the mark previously.

Brad Smith continued his remarkable redshirt freshman run through the record books as well. Smith was 9-for-16 for 135 yards and moved from fifth to second on the Missouri single-season total yardage list with 2,365 yards. He needs just 181 yards in the last four games to break the record of 2,545 yards by Corby Jones in 1997.
While Missouri's two offensive stars grabbed the spotlight, it was the strong play of both the offensive and defensive lines that carried the day for the Tigers. Missouri clearly wore Kansas down in the second half of this game, which allowed both Ty Roberson and T.J. Leon to have solid days rushing the football.
T.J. Leon filled in for the injured Zach Abron effectively rushing for 106 yards.
Missouri evens its record at 4-4 and travels to Iowa State next weekend to meet the surprising Cyclones and their exceptional QB,
