Long Trek to Mizzou Pays of for McGaffie

Gahn McGaffie wasn't planning on making a college commitment until the end of the summer, when he figured he make a trip to Columbia with his mother. But when he found out one of the two programs he was most excited about – Nebraska – had used the scholarship offer he'd been eyeballing on a junior college player, he knew it was time to make a move.

"Let me get ready. We're going to go ahead and make this trip," Brenda McGaffie told her son, a 5-foot-11 wide receiver who'd received an MU offer after an impressive performance at a TCU combine in April "We can't afford to wait."
