Punter Pulls The Trigger For Mizzou

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with State Fair JUCO guard Kevin Punter following his commitment to Frank Haith's Missouri Tigers basketball program. He shares his thoughts on his decision to play for the Tigers.

ShowMeMizzou.com has confirmed a new basketball commitment for the Missouri Tigers.   On Friday afternoon, 2014 junior college SG prospect Kevin Punter  6'4"   170  Sedalia (MO) State Fair Community College contacted Missouri Head Coach Frank Haith to let him know that he was committing to Missouri.

"I committed to Missouri,"    said Punter.     "I called Coach Haith today, and let him know I wanted to be a part of the Missouri Basketball program.   He was excited!    He said that I made his day.    He said that he was excited to have me come in and be a part of the team."

Punter chose Missouri over offers from Baylor, Cincinnati, and Western Kentucky, among others.

As ShowMeMizzou.com reported earlier this week, Punter had taken an unofficial visit to Missouri on Tuesday.    Punter said that after he visited Missouri on Tuesday, he talked with his family, and after thinking about it for a couple of days, he decided to go ahead and accept Missouri's offer.

Punter is planning to take an official visit to Missouri early in the Signing Period, and sign with Missouri at that time.

He will graduate from State Fait in May and begin classes at Missouri in June.
