This past weekend, Missouri hosted several official visitors, including 2014 WR prospect Nate Brown 6’3” 210 Suwanee (GA) North Gwinnett, who has been committed to Missouri since mid-September. Following his visit, Brown spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his Missouri visit, as well as his intentions to sign with Missouri on Wednesday.
“My visit was great! It was everything and more than what I expected,” said Brown, speaking of his Missouri visit. “I was just mainly trying to go up there so my mom could see what it is like. It was my third time going up there, so I knew what to expect. She liked it, and she said that she thoroughly enjoyed it. My mom is very much on board.”
Brown, who has reportedly been timed at 4.55 seconds in the 40-yard dash, chose Missouri over offers from in-state schools, Georgia and Georgia Tech, in addition to a sizable offer list that includes Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Yale, among others.
“I had a chance to talk with Maty and Eddie, both of the quarterbacks that are going to be competing for the job this year,” explained Brown. “I was just picking their brains, just making sure that they know that I’ll be ready when I get there.”
Brown said that he acquired a Mizzou hat that he intends to wear during his signing ceremony Wednesday evening at North Gwinnet. He said that he will actually go ahead and send in his signed Letter of Intent to Missouri early Wednesday morning.
He’s looking forward to his arrival at Missouri in June.
“I’m real excited about it,” said Brown. “I’m looking forward to being at Missouri.”
