Defender Sets Missouri Visit Date

The Missouri Tigers appear as though they will get the last visit of one of their defensive line targets whom they offered months ago, as ShowMeMizzou.com has the latest on his recruitment.

Missouri extended a scholarship offer to 2014 DT prospect D.J. Williams 6’4” 293 Lufkin (TX) months ago. And throughout his recruitment, Williams has reported being high on Missouri. Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Lufkin High School Head Coach Todd Quick, who said that Missouri and Kansas are the two schools that have continued to recruit Williams “hard”.

Coach Quick also informed ShowMeMizzou.com that Williams is scheduled to take his official visit to Missouri on January 31st.

“Missouri’s the one he always talks about,” explained Coach Quick, when I asked him which way he thinks Williams is leaning. “He comes in my office at seven o’clock every morning.”

Williams took an official visit to Kansas about three months ago, and Coach Quick said that the Jayhawks have stayed on his star defensive lineman.

But he seemed to suggest that Missouri would be Williams’ first choice.

“It sounds to me like Missouri’s the one he’s most interested in,” said Coach Quick. “If that’s the day that they’re bringing him in, there isn’t much time to do anything else.”
