Lone-Star Standout To Visit Missouri

The Missouri Tigers appear to be in line to receive an official visit from one of the top offensive threats in Texas for 2014 when the speedster's run in the state playoffs comes to an end. ShowMeMizzou.com has the details.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2014 TB prospect Vic Enwere 6’1” 213 Sugar Land (TX) Stephen F. Austin, who is committed to California, but who said that he is considering taking some other visits.

Enwere, who reports a personal best of 4.41 seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 10.6-second 100 meters, has acquired an impressive offer list that includes Arkansas, California, Colorado, Houston, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, Michigan, Michigan State, Rice, SMU, Texas State, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin, in addition to Missouri.

As a senior, Enwere has rushed for 2226 yards and 32 TDs for 6-5 Austin, who will play Pearland this week in the second round of the Texas Class 5A D1 playoffs.

He’s put his recruitment and taking official visits on hold until his high school season is completed, but he said that he does plan to visit Missouri. He’s just not sure when that will occur.

While Enwere insisted that he’s still committed to Cal, he did say that California, Michigan, and Missouri are his top three schools, and that other schools have come in of late, an indication that Enwere appears to be at least somewhat open in his recruitment. He also has some interest in TCU, but the Horned Frogs have yet to offer.

Enwere told ShowMeMizzou.com that he’s been in regular contact with Missouri Assistant Coach Craig Kuligowski, and that he spoke to Coach Kul just “a couple of days ago”.

“He wants me to come visit,” said Enwere, speaking of his conversation with Coach Kul. “He said they need a downhill back like me.”
