TE Summer Camper On Missouri's Radar

The Missouri Tigers coaching staff saw over 1,000 prospects at their recent series of team and one day camps. One of the better Tight End prospects who attended and caught the attention of the staff talks with ShowMeMizzou.com about his experience and recruitment.

Following a strong showing at Missouri Team Camp, 2014 TE Tyree Mayfield 6’4” 220 St. Joseph (MO) Central spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he provided us with an update on the current status of his recruitment.

“The Missouri coaches said that I had a good camp,” said Mayfield. “And, they said that they’ll follow me throughout my senior year.”

Mayfield reports offers from Illinois State, Missouri State, North Dakota State, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, Toledo, and Western Illinois. He’s also receiving recruiting interest from Illinois.

Mayfield suggested that he knows he’ll need to have a great senior year to improve his chances of receiving the offer that he wants, the one from Missouri.

“I’m hoping for a (Missouri) offer,” explained Mayfield, who stars all over the field on both sides of the ball for St. Joe Central.

“I just want to play (college football),” said Mayfield, who was in between workouts as he's busily preparing to have a great senior season.

It appears that he will.
