Nebraska is making a late run at a Missouri commitment Dimarya Mixon. Mixon, a 6-foot-3 and 265-pound defensive end from Mesquite (Texas) West HS is a three-star prospect and is the No. 51 rated defensive end in the nation.
"Things are going good," Mixon said. "Yeah, I just got an offer from Nebraska today. Coach Rick Kaczenski has been the one recruiting me from Nebraska."
The late interest has Mixon thinking about taking a visit. Mixon has been committed to Missouri since early December and says that the Nebraska staff will be by later this week and they will talk about taking a trip that night.
"I am committed to Missouri, but I am thinking about taking a visit to Nebraska. I will know more after I meet with the Nebraska coaches. They are coming to visit me on Thursday. I will know for sure then."
Mixon is still considering himself a Missouri commitment. He chose Missouri over offers from Oklahoma, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Baylor, Arizona State, Purdue and others. BigRedReport.com will bring you the latest on Mixon and all other Nebraska recruiting news as soon as it happens.
