13 = Luck for
Crockett
Only one Red Raider was able to reach double-digits in
scoring against Baylor as potential sixth-man of the year junior Jaye Crockett
went 4-for-13 from the field and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc for 13 points.
Crockett in two conference games has scored 13 points in both
outings. The 13 points was tops on
the team marking the 10th game this season where Crockett has led
the Red Raiders in scoring.
The Clovis, New Mexico native has now reached double figures
in nine of his last 10 games.
The three 3-pointers marks a new career-high for Crockett.
Missing the Mark
The Red Raiders as a team struggled from the field against
Baylor, going 18-for-59 for the game giving them a 30.5 field goal percentage.
The 30.5 percent shooting from the field marks the lowest in
a game all season for the Red Raiders.
Previous low this season for the Red Raiders came in the
loss to Arizona on December 1, when Tech shot just 34.9 percent from the field.
Above Average
Baylor entered the game with three of their five starters
averaging double-digits in scoring with senior Pierre Jackson leading the way
averaging 19.9 points per game entering the contest.
Baylor had four players reach double-digits, Jackson leading
the way with 18 points.

with 17, passing his average of 14.8 points per game, and junior Corey
Jefferson, who averaged 14.1 points per game, went for 17 as well.
Junior guard Brady Heslip, who averaged 9.5 points per game,
finished above his season average as well with 11 points on 4-for-5 shooting.
Bite of the Bear
Overall Texas Tech leads the all-time series 74-49 and 45-16
in Lubbock following the loss, but Baylor has owned the Red Raiders in the past
few meetings.
The Bears have won six of the last seven meetings, this win
extending the winning streak for Baylor three games dating back to the last
time Tech won back on February 19, 2011.
The last three games have all been won by double-digits.
Rock Chalk on Deck
The road for the Red Raiders does not get easier as the No.
