Johnson Talks Tigers and Recruiting

With defensive tackle being such a high priority for the Missouri Tigers in their 2013 recruiting class, we have seen a lot of offers for out at that position, including to one of the top JUCO DTs in the country. He gives us an update.

ShowMeMizzou.com caught up with 2013 DT prospect Toby Johnson  6'3"  296  4.9  Hutchinson (KS) C.C., who holds a Missouri offer, and is on track to graduate from junior college in December.

Johnson reports offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kansas State, Mississippi, Nebraska, Tennessee, and USC, among others, in addition to Missouri.

Johnson talked about his interest in Missouri.

"I like Mizzou,"  said Johnson.   "I would like to talk to them more often."

Johnson plans to play football this fall, and will have three years to play two once he arrives at the school of his choice.

Johnson said that he would like to visit Missouri in the future.  He currently plans to visit Georgia and Oklahoma.  He's already been to Arkansas and Tennessee.

Johnson mentioned his teammate, Marcus Golden, who is matriculating to Missouri this summer.

Johnson, who is originally from Georgia, indicated that his recruitment is currently wide open.

"I don't have no leader,"  explained Johnson.  "I haven't made up my mind."

ShowMeMizzou.com will have more on Johnson later.
