"I told them I would love to be a Tiger, but I needed to go home and talk things over with my family. I really want to get my family's opinion and hear what they think, but I really like Missouri a lot, but I told them that I would probably take a few weeks to think things over," said Sherrils.
Those were Anthony Sherrils thoughts last Saturday after ShowMeMizzou.com learned that he had received a Missouri offer. It didn't take as long as he thought to realize Mizzou was where he wanted to be.
"Missouri was my number one school, so I decided that there was no reason for me to wait,"said Sherrils."Missouri has everything I want both with school and football. I love the coaches, and they make me feel like they care about me as a person and a player. I have a great relationship with Coach Hill, Coach Ford and even Coach Pinkel."
Anthony said that right now he would prefer to start out on offense at wide receiver, but that he was willing to play safety if the staff felt that was best for the team.
He becomes the Tigers third commitment for the class of 2013.
