With the regular season in the rear view mirror, the Missouri staff is out on the road, and recruiting is heating up for the Tigers. ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with an offensive line prospect from San Antonio's Sam Houston High, Ralphael Green 6'5" 320, who confirmed that he and his teammate, DE Javonte Magee, will be visiting Missouri on Dec. 9th, which is also Green's 18th birthday.
"I'm excited to come up to Missouri, sir," said Green, who has worked hard this year to improve his physical conditioning. Green has lost over 50 pounds this year, and has really improved his mobility, and his endurance.
Green also reported that he and Magee will have in-home visits with Coach Kuligowski this week.
Green, who reports a 4.0 grade-point average, has already visited Indiana, and plans to visit New Mexico State on January 13th. He acknowledged that Missouri is his best football offer, although he said that for him, academics are at least as important as football.
"It's really, Missouri, Indiana, and New Mexico State, right now," said Green, talking about his decision. "I'm not into all of the hype and whatever. I'm going to go somewhere I can make a difference, (win) championships, and hopefully have a great time. I know this is a business and that. I'm going to play it out, and see where it goes."
It would appear that Green projects as a guard at Missouri. He's not planning to commit on his Missouri visit. He said that he would like to visit New Mexico State first, or at least get home and discuss things with his family.
