Javonte Magee Recruiting Update

One of the top defensive lineman in the class of 2012 both in Texas and nationally is still undecided and has mentioned Missouri among his many schools involved in his recruitment. ShowmeMizzou.com has an update.

One prospect whom the Missouri Tigers would like to add for 2012 is DE Javonte Magee  6'6"  260  4.8  San Antonio (TX) Houston, who has received more than 45 scholarship offers.  Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Magee, and he updated us on his recruitment.
The much-coveted Magee is being recruited as both a DE and as a DT, depending on the school. He has an offer list that includes Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and many others, in addition to Missouri.

Magee's Sam Houston team is off to a 3-0 start. Magee credits his teammates with their team's early season on-field success.

I asked Magee if he's narrowed his list of schools, or set up any official visits.

"Not really," replied Magee. "Not yet. I'm probably going to wait until after the season."

Magee said that "everybody's kind of the same, right now". But, he did say that he's still considering Missouri, and that he has a good relationship with the Missouri coaches.

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Javonte Magee's recruitment.
