Columbia, Mo. – Head Coach Frank Haith announced on Thursday that sophomore guard Ricky Kreklow will transfer from the program. Kreklow, a Columbia, Mo., native, averaged 2.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in his rookie campaign.
“I certainly hate to see Ricky leave our program, but we understand his decision,” University of Missouri Head Coach Frank Haith said. “Ricky is going to have a great college career, whether it was here at Mizzou or at his next school and he understands that. Columbia and Mizzou will always be home to him. He was a great player at Rock Bridge and his family has done a remarkable job with our volleyball program, but so much of college is about those new experiences. This needs to be an exciting time for Ricky and we are going to do whatever we can to help him continue his journey.”
Kreklow scored a season high 11 points in the win over Central Arkansas last season and recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 boards in the win against North Alabama.
