Missouri Coach Frank Haith is looking to add to his roster, and he's been focusing primarily on transfers from other four-year schools. ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with a player from a BIG EAST school, who is looking for a new home.

Prior to his arrival at Connecticut, small forward Jamal Coombs-McDaniel 6'7 210 Dorchester (MA) had played on an AAU team with Missouri PG Phil Pressey, and the two have been talking about the prospect of Coombs-McDaniel teaming up with Pressey at Missouri.

As a sophomore at Connecticut in 2010-11, Coombs-McDaniel appeared in all 41 games, starting two, and averaged 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game, including 6.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game in BIG EAST play.

Coombs-McDaniel said that he is leaving UCONN because he wants to play more minutes. He pointed out that at Missouri, after he sits out the 2011-2012 season, that there will be increased playing time available at Missouri, following the graduation of six of Missouri's current players.

"I need more minutes," stated Coombs-McDaniel. "The games that I played 30-plus minutes, I put up big numbers. So, I want to go somewhere that I can play more minutes."

In addition to Missouri, where he says that he has been offered a scholarship, Coombs-McDaniel is also considering Hofstra, Miami, and UC-Irvine. He plans to visit each of these schools within the "next few weeks", before arriving at a decision.
