2011 Hoops Prospects Talk Tigers/Recruiting

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with several potential basketball recruit prospects linked to new Coach Frank Haith and gives updates--including one who talks possible commitment

ShowMeMizzou.com has learned that University of Miami 2011 basketball signee, combo guard Bishop Daniels 6'2" 155, will not be following Frank Haith to Missouri. Daniels was informed by officials at Miami that he would not be released to sign with Missouri, where the former Hurricane's coach has taken over as the new head coach of the Missouri Tigers.

In addition, Coach Haith went to see 2011 SG/SF Tony Kimbro 6'6" 200 Jeffersontown (KY) on Thursday, but left without offering the talented swingman. Kimbro, who holds an offer from Western Kentucky, among others, indicated that he expects to hear from Haith soon regarding a possible Missouri offer, and that if offered, he would commit to Missouri. Haith told Kimbro that he would get back to him after looking at, and talking to, some other prospects.

And, as of Sunday afternoon, 2011 prospect Richard Peters 6'10" 260 Phoenix (AZ) Westwind Prep, a close friend of current Missouri player, Kadeem Green, has not been contacted by new Missouri coach, Frank Haith. Peters, originally from Ontario, Canada, had taken the ACT for the first time on Saturday, and expects to be academically qualified for the 2011 class. He had decommitted from Oklahoma about a week ago, and is hoping to hear from Coach Haith soon.

"I would seriously, seriously consider Missouri, (if offered)," Peters told ShowMeMizzou.com on Sunday.
